This obviously is about what happens before a child gets to
school, so why did you talk about the Canadian children I was
"proposing to abuse"?
Some children with cochlear implants learn English long before
their parents become fluent in sign. Maybe some do not.
Signing is *not* the only option of a native language for the Deaf.
