For me, it did; there was some space between the sub 2 and the O.

Indeed. There's lots of work to do, yet, seems to me, making all software
Unicode-compatible. I changed my default encoding to '8859-15 because a
correspondent (and owner of the list I spend most of my time on) gets
stray stuff at line endings with utf-8; I always send in format=flowed (no
choice, afaik).

Recently, pretty sure on another list, every time a body of text was
copied, the number of seeming-nonsense characters doubled! IIrc, they
started out as Win-1252 typographic quotes. Someone else reversed several
generations and abbreviated the mess again, probably to see that it could
be done.
