Perhaps upgrading just might make that possible, perhaps even easy. (Fwiw,
I like Macs, and would be surprised if an up-to date Mac running an
up-to-date Acrobat Reader wouldn't permit copying text. you do need to
select the text copying tool.)
I should think that Mac OS of a version earlier than X would allow copying
from a PDF, but I'm not a Mac user.
