While they are no longer available from Microsoft, the licenses allowed
others to redistribute these fonts, so you can find them at other

I think Arial Unicode is only available with Microsoft Office. While
it used to be available for download from Microsoft, according to its
license, you would have had to already have Office to use it.

No need to disregard copyrights. Apart from Microsoft's core fonts,
you can legally download various fonts that support almost any script.
For example, Gentium is a very nice font that supports Latin (with many
extensions, including IPA) and Greek:
