Strictly speaking, Urdu script is an adaptation of Perso-Arabic script.
It is not the same as Arabic script pure and simple. Macintosh Arabic
fonts accommodate Arabic, Persian, and Urdu (but not Sindhi, Kashmiri,
etc.).
