I like your rigourous approach to defining a writing system but I'm
wondering if it wouldn't add clarity to talk about morphosyllabic
systems instead of logosyllabaries. It defines the system as a
representation of meaning and sound, without worrying about
what is or isn't a word. Morphosyllabic as a term is also a nice
parallel to morphophonemic, which we use for the
representation of meaning and sound in analytic systems -
alphabets.
