On a second thought, we almost always pronounce it "vu" in acronyms
pronounce it "vu". E.g. in WWF, WC, BMW, except when it could cause
confusion, like in BWV (Bach Werke Verseichnis).
It is not pronunced "vu" when referring to the single letter name, though.
