I first learned about this looking at the handwriting in the balloons of
Arab translations of W. Disney comics: in handwriting, the second stroke of
Tal and Kaf is often floating above the rest of the letter, and this makes
it clear that it is traced separately.
The handwriting used in comics is an excellent compromise for a learner: it
displays all the features of handwritten text, still it is almost as clear
and regular as typographic text.
