Also, how much use need there be before a script works for communication
in human societies? I understand that there's a decent bit of writing
done and a number of newsletters published in Tengwar. Does Cherokee
qualify? From what I've heard, most modern Cherokee writing is done in
Latin transliteration. What about signwriting? I understand there's a
decent corpus of material, but mainly pedagogal.
