| When I tracked down Syriac (under "C"?), I found that you say it's
| descended from Palmyrene and gave rise to Manichaean.
That it's descended from Palmyrene came from a misreading of the
diagram on page 89 of WWS. (Now fixed. Thanks for pointing it out.)
That Syriac gave rise to Manichaean also comes from WWS, p. 515.

I know. There has been certain problems with the software that
produces those diagrams. I've rewritten it now to make it more stable.
