Peter: You're being singularly uncooperative here. Lars is trying to learn
and is asking you fairly explicit questions that you are certainly capable
of answering. Don't tell him "go read B&D" because he has done so and has
found the explanations there insufficiently explicit. And please don't
tell him "go and read Sampson" or "go and read DeFrancis" because you've
got the resources right at your fingertips and he may not have ready
access to them. (I highly doubt I'd find them in the local branch of the
Dallas library.)
