p.s.

"Reader beware" in using this publication as it contains many spelling mistakes and some peculiarites in the use of the apostrophe in the Pali text.

To show a sample, there is an explanation of the use of the word "pubba" with a another word in the ablative case. This usage recently came up here regarding the expression "pubbeva sambodhā" which  is explained in Vol. 2,  p.388 as follows:

Pubbayoge–(The example of apādāna) where the word "pubba" is used in the context.
(1) Pubbe'va [pubbe'va=pubbe+eva] Pubbe-before, previously.
eva-only. sammodhā-from (the time of) enlightenment. i.e. At
the previous time from enlightenment. (Prior to enlightenment).
icce'va'mādi.

I find a number of peculiarities in the above and can hardly believe the typo "sammodhā" for "sambodhā" went unnoticed. Elsewhere, I also notice a consistent misspelling "vibatti" for "vibhatti" (case-ending). So much for the first rule in Kaccāyana stressing the importance of the correct spelling or pronunciation of Pāli words.

Despite the defects, the publication does provide a lot of useful information for the study of traditional Pāli grammar.
