Dear Jim, Dmytro,

Here is Falk's article which contains a complete Roman transcription of the text, Pali sources and a discussion of the script. The text is near perfect Pali with some Sanskritizations

Best wishes,

Bryan

Hi Bryan,

I came across the article and read it probably about 20 years ago but have
since forgotten much of it. As back then, I thought it would be very
interesting to see photos and transcripts of these writings but I'm not sure
if any of the research monographs mentioned in the article are accessible on
the Internet. I have done a preliminary search but haven't been able to find
anything so far. But will try again. One of the sources, interestingly, is
in a South Indian script.

Best wishes,

Jim

Thanks Jim,
I was not familiar with this article. These Burmese texts then predate von
Hinuber's Vinaya Nepalese ms as the oldest Pali ms by some four hundred
years or so. Thanks for pointing it out,
Best wishes, Bryan
