Dear Ven. Pandita,
Thank you for the information. I do question U Bodhi as the aurhot's name.
The only Saddanīti-ṭīkā I'm aware of is the one by Paññāsāmi of Maṅgalārāma
who was born in CE 1755. His name is given in the last page of the ṭīkā MS I
have (UPT499.1 folio 310a line 7). The title of the ṭīkā is given on line 9
but there is a letter or conjunct I'm not sure of. The title looks like
this: Sādhujjanapamo??ni. This is the first Burmese MS that I've been able
to get a close look at so I'm not familiar with the style of handwriting but
learning.
So the Nissaya must be earlier. Do you know when it was written and by whom?
I thought the Nissaya was a considerably larger work.
Best wishes,
Jim

Dear Jim,
This ṭīkā is quite rare, as you said, but it is actually a Pali translation
of the Burmese Nissaya translation of Saddanīti (The nissaya translator was
a Burmese monk named U Bodh). So its value is mainly for foreigners who
cannot read Burmese. This is why it has not been published hitherto in
Burma.
with metta,
Ven. Pandita (Burma)
