Rahula,

Because "bhava" is majjhima purisa (second person) ekavacana (singular) pan~cami (fifth or imperative declension), meaning "may you be". Instead of "aha.m", I would expect something like "homi" - "may I be".

Best wishes,

Yuttadhammo

Hi,

I was told that for others, use:
Sukhi dighayuko bhava

For oneself, use:
Sukhi dighayuko aham

Why?

Thanks,
Rahula
