Dear Chris,

I have come across six-pada-silokas, where tradition either counts them as belonging to the preceding or following verse, as you describe it for the Apadānas. But in print I never sax a two pada line given separately, except in quotations in case only two padas are quoted.

Best,
Petra

Dear all,

śloka/vatta verses usually contain four pādas, though sometimes six. Has anyone come across a śloka/vatta verse with just two pādas? I am working with manuscripts of the Apadāna and almost all of them have verse breaks either side of two particular pādas (however, the printed editions place these two pādas with either the preceding or following verse).

Regards,
Chris
