Thanks for your two responses. I'm sorry to say that I'm not in agreement
with the way you define "tipitaka". This is not a discussion I want to enter
at this point and would prefer to stick to pāli/pāḷi and English Pali as the
main topic. Actually, I won't be able to continue this discussion much
further until I become better acquainted with the available source materials
in Pali and in English. Today I read a few pages of N.A. Jayawickrama's
interesting article on Pāli in the Encyclopedia of Buddhism.

It is Ok with me. In fact I think it is good because that will help in the
division of the work load. However, I can help you with Sutta references. I
can think of few more words that are essential to understand the language
of the Tipitaka. [I use the term Tipitaka only for the time being.]
