Dear Dmytro,

What the Vipassana Research Institute digitalized was the printed, book form edition from the 1950s, which is called the Sixth Council edition. We have a set of it here. Ven. Nyanaponika and Nyanatiloka got it after the Sixth Council, which they attended. Ven. Nyanaponika was using it instead of the BJ edition.
That there was a disagreement about it in Burma itself, and that the World Tipitaka came up with an edition, which they call the real Sixth Council edition, is true, but the other 1950s edition is normally considered the Sixth Council edition.
The Dhammakaya in Thailand is working on a new Tipitaka edition, based on palm leaf manuscripts. However, it will not be finished soon.

Dear Chris,

As far as I know, the full results of the Sixth Council were not compiled and published until recent times.

Vipassana Research Institute Tipitaka edition is rather based on the Burmese 5th Council edition.

The results of the Sixth Council are compiled in the World Tipitaka edition:
