Dear Steve,

A few weeks ago I began a close study of the Saccavitthārakathā part of the
Visuddhimagga, Ch. 16, and came across two interesting ṭīkā explanations of
the term "sāsanakkame" which I reproduce below fyi. I also find very
interesting the explanations in terms of the three sāsanas one finds
elsewhere in the Pali literature.

Subject: [palistudy] saasana

Friends,

I would be grateful to know of any discussions of the concept of saasana,
whether in Eurooean languages or Pali. I am aware of some of them, in both
English and Pali, but there may be others I have missed.

With thanks,
