Hi,
I apologse for the absence of diacritics. Nothing much to contribute, but just to share some information.
According to The Salistamba Sutra by N.Ross Reat (1993) Motilal Banarsidass, p.49-50:
vastuprativijnaptir vijnanam vijnanasahajas-catvaro 'rupina upadanaskandhas-tan-nama, catvari ca mahabhutani copadaya upadaya
rupam-aikadhayam-abhisamksipya tan-namarupam
The dIscrete appearance of objects IS consciousness. The four non-material grasping-aggregates which arise together with consciousness are name.
(Narne) together with the four great elements and derived matter is name-and·form.
Jeffrey Davis Schoening, in his PhD thesis, "The Salistamba-sutra and Its Indian Commentaries" (University of Washington, 1991), p.376 has:
The representation object is consciousness. These four appropriating aggregates arising together with consciousness are name-and-form.|
Regards,
Rahula
