One further point.

At Mp II 95 Buddhaghosa defines sambodhi:
*sambodhī* ti catumaggañāṇañ ceva sabbaññutaññāṇañ ca.
"Full awakening is both the knowledge of the four paths and the
knowledge of omniscience."

Buddhaghosa is referring to the Bodhisatta's experiencing all four paths
at a single sitting. So this is pariyāyadesanā. Probably Buddhaghosa was
familiar with the quotation we are discussing and in a Suttanta context
has reworded it to remove any ambiguity.
