Thank you for the trouble you took. Bhante Bodhi gave me already an 
explanation. I use the Mahamakut translation, and it seems there is a 
mistake. It is Salaayataanavagga, lem 4, first section, p. 167 
(chalavagga, sutta 6). For phaati is used the Thai phii liang naang 
nom. I found it very strange and it must be a mistake. But please, do 
not trouble anymore.
