[Kaccāyanabyākaraṇaṃ, Sandhikappa, Pañcamakaṇḍa, Sutta 47]

47. 23. Atissa c' antassa (60).

Ati icc' etassa antabhūtassa tisaddassa ivaṇṇe pare "sabbo caṃ tī" ti
vuttarūpaṃ na hoti.

When the letters ‘i’ and ‘ī’ follow, the said form (sutta 19) "sabbo caṃ ti"
does not apply to the end syllable ‘ti’ of ‘ati’.

Atīsigaṇo, atīritaṃ.

Examples:
atīsigaṇo: ati isi gaṇo; at i isi gaṇo (10); at isi gaṇo (12);
     at īsi gaṇo (15); atīsigaṇo (11).
atīritaṃ: ati īritaṃ; atīritaṃ.

Ivaṇṇe ti kasmā? Accantaṃ (VinA. i, 1).

Why say ‘letters ‘i’ and ‘ī’? To allow the operation of this rule in the
following: accantaṃ.

[note: I think it should be "To prevent" instead of "To allow" --ja]

Counter Examples:
accantaṃ: ati antaṃ; a ti antaṃ (10); a c antaṃ (19); a cc antaṃ (28);
     accantaṃ (11).
