Dear Phra Yuttadhammo,

Thanks for also making available an mp3 recording which I have
downloaded and listened to a couple of times. It sounds good but I'm
afraid I'm missing most of the words for the following reasons:

1. I have a hearing impairment in addition to a visual one.
2. You're reciting too quickly.
3. Your pronunciation differs from mine in many respects.
4. I live in an environment where I rarely hear Pali being recited by
others.

I will listen to the recording many times as a way of training the ear
to listen carefully. I should be able to catch more and more of. it
each time I listen. I'm definitely picking out some of the words.

I have the first 4 paragraphs memorized and am reciting them regularly
from memory. Once I have the paribbaajakakathaa up to the point that I
can recite it well and with ease, I will try to make an mp3 recording.
It'll probably still be slower than yours. When Ven. U Thitzana was
here a few weeks ago he recited something in Pali but he was going
very fast, much faster than you and I couldn't pick out a single Pali
word... I could only assume it was in Pali.

Best wishes,
Jim
