Hi Jim,

It would be saya.m jaanaahi, (Skt. svaya.m janiihi) but I don't think I've ever
seen it anywhere. Perhaps there is another phrase which means the same thing?

Bryan

Dear Members,

I just received the message below seeking a Pali tramslation of a
Latin phrase. I believe the request is from a Ukranian because of
the -ko suffix of his surname. The English is somewhat flawed but
clear enough to get the message across. Does Pali have anything
comparable to "Know thyself"?

Jim

My dear friends,

I'am so glad to find out aboute your PALI discussion group because
I'am very interested in the pali texts in translations, but I'd like
to know the translation of one of phrases. Would you like to help me
with correctly writing of this phrase in pali: "Cemel Nosce" is latin
for "Know thyself".

I will be very grateful for you help.

Youres, Sergiy Sygydenko.
