Dear all,

I have an announcement about a fantastic opportunity to learn Pali with a world expert, all from the comfort of your own home. I hope it will be of interest to some members of this mailing list.

NEW - Pali Online School with the Oxford Centre for Buddhist Studies

- 100% live instruction with Professor Richard Gombrich, Boden Professor Emeritus of Sanskrit at Oxford University and an expert in Pali.
- No pre-recorded lessons, it's all interactive and live. Go from total beginner to reading original Pali suttas in less than 4 weeks.

Bookings are now open. For further details and bookings see:
http://ocbs.org/courses/pali-online-school/

I have been fortunate enough to assist Richard with his teaching in its precursor form, Pali Summer School (held in Oxford every August) for the past several years. It has been run very successfully and we have had fantastic feedback from participants, who included practitioners, academics, monks, nuns, and even an armed forces officer. The Pali Summer School has always been oversubscribed so they have decided to take this online.

You will find most information on the OCBS website but I will be happy to answer any questions you may have as I know the course material and how it's run intimately. It is truly a unique opportunity to study Pali with Prof. Gombrich and ask him all sorts of questions about Pali, Buddhism, Buddhist studies, etc.
