Dear friends,

Vesaakha Day marks the birth, enlightenment and passing of the Buddha. On this day, Buddhists around the world celebrate the occasion and reflect on the virtues of the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha.

Vesaakha Day is also a public holiday in many countries. Sometimes, there are two full moon days in May. In 2015, we have May 4 and June 1. Actual day of celebration differs between countries due to different local lunar observance.

I like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a day of joy and peace.

With metta,

Yong Peng
