An excellent piece.

Thanissaro Bhikkhu. Jhana Not by the Numbers.

The author recalls how Ajaan Fuang taught meditation to his students.
The ajahn motivates them to develop self-reliance, while recommending
approaches to jhana that worked better than others, without rarely
mentioning the word. He also tells us his experiences of wrong
samadhi. Note that when he uses the word concentration, he
understands it to be samadhi as used in the Suttas.
