it is worrying to read about your troubles. We have the technology, offered free by Yahoo!, to take care of archiving and providing a faithful thread history. There is also a search facility allowing you to search the message archive, which is useful on various occasions. It will take a while to get used to, and I hope you may soon find it useful. If other members have problems, please bring it up to discuss.

Also, instead of keeping entire messages, you can bookmark the pages (or keep just the links).

Our list activities is busy, but not "messy" or overwhelming, so for an average Internet user, it should be manageable to follow the archive. To move beyond a web-based mailing list, will be a web-based forum. A web-based forum organises discussion under different headings and subheadings, which usually caters for a wider participation. However, it is out of question for the moment, because I am too busy to implement one.

I like to clarify that I am not stopping you from "reposting" any previous messages, but it is just not the "Internet" way of doing things. As mentioned earlier, I will in future put question and its glossaries together. This is not the exact way the book is organised, which keeps the questions and glossaries apart. But, in the Internet environment, the book has to be adapted. There will also be not "wait time" for the glossaries to be posted weeks after the questions. I hope this approach will be more helpful for you and other members.

N: I see your point but I had trouble and still have trouble to find these messages. I just kept copies for myself. I actually wanted to help myself and others, looking up the sentences. Thread history refuses. But I will do as you say.
