moat.
parikkhaa = moat, sa.mki.n.nparikkho is a bahuvriihii.

I'm not a monk, and don't use a title; not a 'ven.' :-)

Thanks for your translation of the AA passage. I think having accepted that
sa.mki.n.na means 'filled' it makes more sense. I'm still interested to know why
(or how) it means 'filled', but it seems clear that it does.

What about the MA passage I posted?
