Ven. Dhammadarsa,

the famous aussie style, "so what is this all about?!"

I had previously heard this same talk of a "real" 6th council Tipitaka other than the CSCD3 most of us know. But, hey, we are also talking about studying earlier versions written in caves and on leaves or tree barks. So, we can accommodate different editions. We are human with intelligence to tell what is good for us and what isn't.

Look, we can always discuss topics like this, and probably someone on the list may know something. And we can all learn from it. However, please do not use a "puritan" tone as though other editions of the Tipitaka is wrong.

It will be counter-productive for our online group study. And, frankly, I know no one in the Buddhist world who is authoritative enough to make any such claim.

metta,
Yong Peng.
