Then the Venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: "How, Lord, should we conduct ourselves towards women?"

"Do not see them, Ananda."

"But, Lord, if we do see them?"

"Do not speak, Ananda."

"But, Lord, if they should speak to us?"

"Then, Ananda, you should establish mindfulness."

2.    Anguttara Nikaya V:23

023.09. Bhikkhus, these five fears are from black poisonous snakes. What five? They are impure, give a bad smell, are timid, arouse fear and pretend friendship. Bhikkhus, these five fears are from black poisonous snakes.

In the same manner bhikkhus, these five fears are from women. what five?
They are impure, give a bad smell, are timid, arouse fear and pretend friendship. Bhikkhus, these five fears are from women.

3. Anguttara Nikaya IV.8

(10) Once the Exalted One dwelt in Ghosita-park at Kosambi. Then the venerable Ananda came to where the Exalted One was. Having so come he made obeisance to the Exalted One and took a seat at one side. So seated the venerable Ananda said thus to the Exalted One. "What is the reason, Lord, what is the cause that womenfolk do not preside in a court of justice,' nor engage in an occupation, nor go to a foreign country ?" "Ananda, a woman is given to anger. Ananda, woman is envious. Ananda, a woman is greedy. Ananda, woman is poor in wisdom. This is the reason, Ananda, this is the cause, why women-folk do not preside in a court of justice, nor engage in an occupation, nor go to a foreign country."

4. Anguttara Nikaya II.6

"Monks, womenfolk end their life unsated and unreplete with two things. What two? Sexual intercourse and childbirth. These are the two things."
