I agree we should open this for a good discussion to hear the opinions of everyone. As for "recognising" a virus, I can't vouch for anyone.

Also, if people keep sending in 15MB attachments, the moderator probably will be too busy scanning the contents of the attachments.

I think that Yahoo! now allow two options for attachments:

1. the usual way of attachments within the email delivery.
2. the new attachment folder, which allow a recipient to choose what and when to download.

Option 1 remains closed, given the reasons in my previous mail. This discussion is about whether we should adopt Option 2 for our group to take the benefit of the 100GB.

As for viruses, assuming the kind that sends off itself, I don't remember encountering them for a long, long time. I believe the reason is that mail servers are now set up to filter them. Besides, I believe you can also easily identify them.

At any rate, how about asking other members for their thoughts on this?
