Dear Ven. Kumara,

our group has always disable attachments. This is to prevent unnecessary spamming, as you would understand, that not all members use a free unlimited email account like Gmail and Yahoo!. In addition, disabling attachments also prevent the spread of virus through emails.

I understand Yahoo! now provides a separate Attachments section, which has a size of 100GB! This 100GB space limit is shared with the Photos section. However, each email may only contain attachment(s) of less than 15MB.

The Files section has a limit of 100MB, which is 1000 times less than the 100GB space provided for the Attachments and Photos sections. I am just not sure if we should enable attachments since Yahoo! Groups does not currently scan attachments for viruses on stored attachments.

Are attachments allowed on this group? I mean technically, as in: Does the group settings allow it (though now Yahoo places the files on a server)?
