Thanks for posting your translation of the beginning part of the 2nd
pariccheda. I think the translation agrees for the most part with the text
and is fairly straightforward and not hard to follow. The hardest part, I
find, is in the gaathaa at the beginning:

Ito para.m pavakkhaami, sotuuna.m mati-va.d.dhana.m;
kriyaa-pada-kkama.m naama, vibhatt'-aadiini diipaya.m.

which you have translated as:
> *I will explain, for the growth of my audience's wisdom,
> the terminology of verbs, starting with endings.

The part of the translation that I have trouble agreeing with is:
"for the growth of my audience's wisdom, the terminology of verbs" which
stands for "sotuuna.m mati-va.d.dhana.m;
kriyaa-pada-kkama.m naama,". For this translation I would expect to see a
dative ending for "mati-va.d.dhana.m" for your "For the growth <of my
audience's> wisdom". Could it not be that "mati-va.d.dhana.m" is a
bahubbiihi cpd. (in the accusative sing.) qualifying "kriyaapadakkama.m"
with "sotuuna.m" (=for my audience) in the dat. case instead of the gen.? I
doubt that '-kkama.m' here means 'terminology' but it is hard to know what
Ehglish word fits best if it has the sense of order, series, sequence. The
meaning of 'mati' is also hard to construe with any degree of certainty. I
don't disagree with your choice of 'wisdom'. It's just that I haven't seen
that sense given in the dictionary. I think of 'opinion' or 'consideration'
for 'mati'. It's a word that I would need to take a closer look at.
