N: I said this long ago to Jim, who is a very good teacher. He said
that yes, we should look up everything word for word. Gradually you
find you have to look up less.
I use two dictionaries; the big PTS and the small Budhadatta, handy
for traveling (or in doctor's waiting room, in the bus, etc.) and
when you want to look up things quickly.
