thanks for macro, I did find them very useful with MS Word until I
changed to Open Office in 2006.

For similar reasons, I have avoided "n but adopt the rest of Velthuis
original scheme of transliteration. I use `n in my messages to the
group. I think as a matter of courtesy, I should call it modified
Velthuis coding (mVc) to signify a diversion from the original work.

Note that these files all use a special Velthuis coding, i.e. ,n
instead of "n, for the n-superdot character (similarly ,s instead of
"s for Sanskrit s-acute), since I found that too often there are
double-quotes included in the text adjacent to an n or an s that are
not meant as diacritics.
