Dear Jon,

"juutappamaada.t.thaanaanuyoge" can be broken down into two main
parts: juutappamaada.t.thaana + anuyoge. But to show the resolution
of the compound one should add -ssa to the first part:
juutappamaada.t.thaanassa anuyoge to indicate that this is a sixth-
case tappurisa compound. A compound itself can contain compounds and
we can take the process further in breaking down those compounds as
well.

A literal translation might be: in the repeated activity (anuyoge) of
gambling (juutassa), the cause of negligence (pamaada.t.thaanassa).

anuyoge = in the repeated activity (anu = repeated, repetitive, again
and again; yoga = activity, action). I base this interpretation
on "anu-anuyogo punappuna.m kara.na.m" --- Sv III 944 (CSCD 3).
