Here's a stab, but I would have to see the Vism passage being referred
to, to be sure. First, fem. naama don't generally lose their long vowel
when they enter samaasa, so vipassanaa- comes from the word vipassanaa
(unchanged). The second part looks to me like the word yaana combined
with the tadassatthi-taddhita paccaya "-vantu", which can be analyzed as:

yaana.m assa atthiiti yaanavaa (1-1 declension of yaanavantu)
There exists a vehicle of him, therefore he is called "yaanavantu" (one
who has a vehicle).

Here I would take vipassanaayaana as a sambhaavana kammadhaaraya samaasa
(see my previous posts):

vipassanaa eva yaana.m = vipassanaayaana.m
the vehicle that is vipassanaa = the vipassanaa-vehicle (vipassanamobile?)

So, the taddhita part should be:
vipassanaayaana.m assa atthiiti vipassanaayaanavaa
There exists the vehicle that is vipassana of him, therefore he is
called "vipassanaayaanavantu" (one who has a vehicle that is vipassana -
a vipassanamobiler).
