1. A virtuous man comes to an assembly without any fear. This is one
of the results he has obtained through his virtue.

4. At the end of the discourse of the Ven. Saariputta, the bhikkhus
expressed their approval of his words.

5. If you always keep in mind the virtues of the Buddha, you will not
fall into wicked thoughts.

6. The actions of the man, good or bad, will follow him to the other
world as a wheel follows the feet of the oxen that are yoked to a cart.

7. The Buddha's admonition to us is that we must cleanse our minds
from all sins.

8. One's mind becomes gladdened when one thinks about the virtues of
the deities by which they are born in that state.

9. He has taken refuge in the Buddha, dhamma and sa`ngha.

10. The man fell head-downward into a pit.

11. The Elder preached a long sermon to the assembly and further
admonished them.

12. The liberal donor was not afraid of falling feet upwards in a pit
of glowing charcoal.

Mixed Sandhi

25. When i before a dissimilar vowel is changed to y (according to the
rule §10), that y, together with the preceding consonant, undergoes
several changes.

I. ty becomes cc

iti + eva.m = ity + eva.m = icceva.m
ati + anta.m = aty + anta.m = accanta.m
jaati + andho = jaaty + andho = jaccandho
iti + aadi = ity + aadi = iccaadi
pati + ayo = paty + ayo = paccayo

II. dy becomes jj

yadi + eva.m = yady + eva.m = yajjeva.m
nadii + aa = nady + aa = najjaa

III. dhy becomes jjh
