Thanks for the help.



I was wondering which term in pali you mean by “cleanse”, is it “dapa”.

I found one equivalent in sanskrit as “dam”, meaning according to More
Williams Sanskrit-English dic, “to tame”, “to subdue”, “to tranquilize”, “to
conquer” etc.

It seems that there is a distinction in the term when in Sanskrit and in
pali.

Sabbapaapassa akara.na.m, ~ kusalassa upasampadaa,
Sacittapariyodapa.na.m - ~ eta.m Buddhaana' saasana.m.
