thanks for the interesting reply. For some reason, Warder does not
introduce the word coreti in this book. I have a look in Duroiselle's
grammar, and found that coreti is derived from cur.

Here we see the strengthening of the root vowel:

cur > [gu.na] cor > [+e/aya] core/coraya

Yes, but they are only recorded in Pali grammatical literature. They
are based on Sanskrit corayati. The recorded forms are grammarians´
fiction as they do not occur in canonical literature. However, the
noun cora, thief, is derived from the root cur.
