The VRI is offering a 8- month residential course in basic Pali – English. The
course commences in March 2007 and will end on 31st Oct 2007. Classes will be
held in the mornings and the rest of the day will be for meditation and giving
Dhamma service at Dhammagiri. Please note that the instructions will be given in
English.

Eligibility – Those who have done at least five 10-day courses and one
Satipatthana course.
They should also be observing the Five Percepts and practicing daily sittings
for last 2 years.

To apply for admission, please download this form and get the recommendation of
your Area Teacher on the same. The last date for
submission of applications is 15th December 2006. Students who are found
eligible will be sent a confirmation letter on the basis of
which they can apply for Indian Visa. It is recommended that you apply for visa
from your Home country. Selected students will be expected to report to
Dhammagiri by 1st March 2007.

The VRI also plans to conduct an advanced course in place of the basic course in
the year 2008. The eligibility would be either passing this
course or any equivalent Pali language course. The duration for the same will be
approx 9 months starting from Feb 2008
