Dear Nina and friends,

allow me to conclude the test with the following findings:

Yahoo! Groups works off a mailing list system with a reasonable
message grouping capability. Messages arrive in random and are sorted
by the email address. All messages for this group are send to
pali@yahoogroups.com .

Within the list (or Pali group), the messages are then grouped under
topics
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Pali/messages/11073?xm=1&o=1&m=p&tidx=1

The mechanism seems to work around the subject of the email message it
receives. When replying to messages, it is a good idea to keep
messages under the same group or topic. To accomplish that, please
note the following:

(1) if you are using the Yahoo! Groups interface to reply, changing
the message's subject will have no effect. The system will still put
it under the same topic. To start a new topic in the Yahoo! Groups
interface, use this link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Pali/post

(2) if you are using anything else (web mail, such as Yahoo! Mail,
Gmail, Hotmail and AOL, or email client software, such as Eudora,
Outlook Express and Thunderbird), please do not change the message
subject.

metta,
Yong Peng.
