Dear Yong Peng,
first of all, I find your way of questioning very helpful. It always helps
me to consider more and in this way I come to discover new perspectives.
As to progressive qualities, these qualities have to be developed, true. But
I still like to keep the meaning of pasaada, thinking of the bhikkhu life as
a life of purity, a life with peaceful conduct, not harming any living being
in the world.
Nina.
