Dear all,
It is well said by Sri K. Loganathan.
Siddhartha Gotama was a Sakyan. Even today, we have the existence of
Sakyan racial stock in India. They are neither Aryan nor Dravidian
race of India.
But Siddhartha renounced his race, nation, culture as he renounced
his family. After renouncing all bondages only HE could become
Buddha. Buddhas ancesters were previous Buddhas. The Buddha vamsa
(Buddhas of the past, Buddhas of the present and Buddhas of the
future) nothing to do with any race, gender, caste, national and
religious differences.
Buddha is a universal phebomina. Buddha's path is an Universal path.
No race, no religion, no nation has the right of Buddha. Buddha
belongs to all beings.
=================================================================
Universal Dhamma
=================================================================
It may be harmful to Humanity, if a group of people calls themselves
as Buddhists and clime Buddha and Dhamma as their property,
Air, sun, light are natural and universal. Every one enjoys the
benefits. But the human made things, which are owned by few are not
beneficial to all. It is limited to a few.
Dhamma is natural and universal. It should be open to all. A message
of Buddha should be given to all beings irrespective of their caste,
religion, sect etc. Dhamma should be kept open to all.
Today the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha looked very narrowly as Buddhism.
Practicing some rituals, ceremonies, chanting, bowing in front of
Buddha's statues are considered as Dhamma. Many of the so-called
Buddhists least bother about Right Speech, Right Action, Right
Livelihood and Compassion etc.
Individual like Babasaheb, Pandit Iyothi Thass and many other
scholars of Dhamma for last 2550 years must have looked Dhamma with
their perspective. Reading their texts may help as to develop a
correct perspective to understand the True and Universal Dhamma with
our own wisdom. But these individuals' teachings should not become
dogmas on the name of Dhamma and their names should not be misused to
develop dogmatic sectarian faiths.
The real scholars of Dhamma never wish any sectarian elements on the
name of Buddha and Dhamma.
The words Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha are Universal Concepts. Buddha
means the Enlightenment, Dhamma means the Truth and Sangha means
saintliness. These words should not be taken as Buddhist Gods,
Buddhist Religion and Buddhist Monks.
Buddha is not a God of Buddhist, but He is a symbol of Enlightenment.
Dhamma is not a Buddhist Religion, but It is a Universal Truth.
Sangha is not Buddhist monk. The True Sangha is the real Saint, who
is pure in their mind, speech and action.
Let the True and Universal Dhamma spread on the earth.
Let the manifested Dhamma benefit all beings.
Let the sectarianism and dogmatism wither away.
Let all beings develop purity in mind, speech and action.
Let the Right Understanding and Right wisdom spread on the earth.
May all beings enjoy the real peace and harmony
May all beings be happy!
Metta
S. Umanathan
May all beings be happy!

to introduce the typical European racialism into Buddhism which has
not seen any racialism at all and does not condone it right from the
beginning.
