Dear Pete,

Alternatively in case you cannot find books that are cheap enough, online versions could be of some use. One of them is this: http://www.metta.lk/tipitaka/
The files provided in this set are Pali Tipitaka of Sinhala version), Sinhalese translation and (rough) English translation.

It can be used either online or offline. To use it offline, just install the fonts and download the zip file. It works well on PC as well as on handheld computer.

Best wishes
Chanida

I am wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to obtain used,
(second hand), copies of the Pali Suttas? I know they are available
fromthe Pali Text Society, but if I can get them for less than they
cost new that would be wonderful.
