I have no intention to drag on, but I would not want to give incorrect
information to Kungfu fans. It is actually possible for people to learn
martial arts from religious places, such as Buddhist and Taoist
monasteries, or other secular places, such as Confucianist shrines.
Martial arts was everywhere in pre-modern China.

For example, the Shao Lin (Buddhist) Monastery was famous for both Zen
and Kungfu.
