I and another lady pilgrim will be leaving for India in a few weeks to
meditate at Bodh Gaya, Nalanda and Sarnath. Has anyone been to these
regions recently? Can you recommend moderately priced accommodations
that are clean, safe, relatively quiet and with an electrical outlet in
both Bodh Gaya and Sarnath? What about places to eat? Recommended
modes of transportation within Bodh Gaya and within Sarnath? Any
advisories? We will be in India for about three weeks.
We understand about drinking boiled or bottled water with cap
untampered, about dressing and acting demurely and about not traveling
or leaving the guest house after dark. We also know about India's 220
volt lines.
