Thanks for your reply. I could understand the
coumpound is a possessive compound if sabhaava means
nature. But, what makes me puzzled is why the
commentator does not use the formal pattern with a
genitive, and whether sabhaava necessarily means
(essential) nature.

It is a possessive compound. sabhaava means
(essential) nature, so the compound as a such means
having a vigacchanaka nature i.e. having an evanescent
nature.
